Make an Italian driving licence photo to official rules

Renewing your Italian licence or applying for a duplicate? The medical examiner wants one recent passport-style photo, which they legalise; a duplicate at the Motorizzazione takes two identical photos on a white background, bare-headed. Make it here and print it on photo paper (not thermal).

The ministry's photo rules cover more than the size. The background must be plain white. Keep a neutral expression with your mouth closed. If you wear glasses, they must have clear (not dark or tinted) lenses and leave your eyes visible. A head covering is allowed only for religious reasons, provided your face stays fully visible. The photo must have been taken within the last 6 months.
