Spain's official rules cover more than size. The background must be plain white. Look straight at the camera with your eyes open — the photo can't be taken with your eyes closed or your gaze lowered. Glasses must have clear, non-reflective lenses, and the frame must not cover your eyes or cast a shadow — thick or novelty frames aren't accepted. Your head must be bare — no hat, headscarf or headband. The photo must have been taken within the last 6 months.
